I counted two summers and gathered enough inspiration for the new L’ON.

 

At its core is a collection of vintage, unworn and worn contemporary pieces, chosen not for the era they belong to, but for their character, quality and ability to remain relevant for years to come.

 

Inspiration comes from everywhere. From life in Greece and summers spent on the islands, from Italy, which I’ve been visiting since I was a child, and from the New York of Annie Hall. From old runway archives and images I’ve collected over the years. From the short Italian dresses I’ve loved since I was a teenager, sheer fabrics, long trench coats and wide cotton shirts with both bold and fine stripes.

 

And perhaps, more than anything, from my parents. They lived the ’90s intensely and left me not only an incredible collection of clothes, but also a way of looking at and choosing things: searching for pieces with character, made to stay with us for a long time.

 

L’ON began mainly with clothing, but it doesn’t end there. Interiors, objects, images, music and spaces are all part of the same story. Different ways of sharing a particular way of seeing, choosing and, ultimately, living.

 

I’m less interested in what is new or of the moment, and more in what feels personal and lasts. For me, the search for beautiful things becomes meaningful when shared.

 

L’ON is where all of these things come together.
